MAX-N+ charts have a broad set of powerful core features that elevate it above prior options, as well as several premium choices. The premium options deliver several potent upgrades to the vector charts. Precision Contour HD elevates surveying detail down to 1 ft. increments, while Lake Insights adds special features for inland bodies of water. Both of these features are highly valuable to fishermen and can help them locate the ideal areas to catch more, larger fish.
Insight Pro bundles Lake Insights with several other new inland and coastal features. The final premium feature, Reveal, unlocks ultra-high detailed bathymetric imaging of the seafloor. Divers, fishers, and tourist boat captains can all apply this to their passions and livelihood.

While Reveal improves the detail of the bathymetry layer, all N+ charts have a solid seafloor view. Other especially valuable features involved in MAX-N+ packages include Easy Routing, which can help automatically plot a course. It only needs the information on your boat, which it uses alongside electronic chart information to devise the ideal path.
Another excellent feature is custom depth shading; this allows you to replace the existing depth shading with new colors. One application that a boat captain might use this for is shading deep waters blue and shallow waters red. This way, any dangerously shallow waters will be immediately noticeable due to a gradually deepening, red hue.
There are also pleasant aesthetic features such as Raster Charts. A Raster Chart evokes the look and feel of classic paper charts, which it combines with the efficiency and clarity of CMap digital charts. While it doesn't carry the same depth of practical value as some other features, it's certain that many nostalgic sailors will love it.
