British Admiralty nautical publications are published by the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) and are used for safe navigation and avoidance of navigational hazards by vessels transiting. British Admiralty nautical publications are internationally recognized for their accuracy and excellence by mariners around the globe. These nautical publications are also used by mariners and ship administrations to meet SOLAS chapter V, regulation 19.2.1 requirements for nautical publications to be on board a vessel for an intended voyage. The requirements for nautical publications to be on board SOLAS class vessels were also restated by IMO and the Maritime Safety Committee in MSC-MEPC.2/Circ.2
