These guidelines were produced following notification to the SIGTTO Secretariat of several potentially dangerous incidents involving odourants. These guidelines are a reference for operational and commercial staff in LPG shipping and terminal industries. They are not a design specification for odourant injection equipment. These SIGTTO guidelines should be written into charter parties when shipboard odourisation is to take place.
