This manual has questions that force you to understand the material. Prior to getting this manual, I was exposed only to Sea School materials. While Sea School did a very good job covering NavGen, Plotting, and DeckGen, it was NOWHERE near enough to pass the Rules test! You DEFINITELY have to study - HARD - even with this book. But, you will be exposed to ALL possibilities across the Rules of the Road environment. Very helpful!
Capt. Murphy’s entire series is gold. The Rules of the Road volume is particularly helpful.
