At the bottom of the shield, there is a red ribbon with the name of the country “Republica Dominicana.” There is writing on the blue ribbon on the shield that displays“Patria, Libertad, Dios” that has a meaning of Fatherland, Liberty, and God. A Bible is opened with a verse in the shield, and the verse quotes “And the truth shall set you free.” The red color symbolizes the blood of his struggle for independence, white symbolizes salvation, and dignity to the peaceful characters of the Dominicans and blue symbolizes liberty.
