The Model Course 7.15 on Electro-Technical Rating, 2019 Edition, is a comprehensive training program designed to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to become proficient electro-technical ratings on board ships.

This course covers a wide range of topics including electrical systems, power generation and distribution, electrical machinery operation and maintenance, troubleshooting, safety procedures, and relevant regulations. The aim of this model course is to meet the mandatory minimum standards of competence for seafarers in the following functions: electrical, electronic and control engineering; maintenance and repair; and controlling the operation of the ship and care for persons on board, at the support level specified in table A-III/7 of the STCW Code.
